Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to support the smooth operation of a high-security site. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will coordinate maintenance activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with WHS and quality systems. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to maintain a safe, efficient, and positive working environment. The ideal candidate is organised, adaptable, and proactive, with experience in facilities management, corrections, defence, or similar environments. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills are key. Key Responsibilities - Maintain CMMS systems for preventative and reactive work orders - Allocate and oversee work tasks to ensure contract KPIs are achieved - Serve as first point of contact for internal teams and stakeholders - Support and guide maintenance staff and subcontractors, ensuring compliance and safety - Conduct inspections and monitor operational performance - Maintain WHS, quality, and environmental compliance - Maintain the afterhours on-call system, ensuring coverage is provided at all times - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Education, Experience & Skills Essential: - High School Certificate or equivalent; tertiary qualifications in building/facilities management preferred - Experience in property or facilities management; corrections, defence, or police background advantageous - Knowledge of building services and maintenance operations - Proficient in CMMS, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools - Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable: - Electrical or trade qualification (TAFE or equivalent) - Senior First Aid Certificate - Current NSW driver licence Workplace Flexibility This position is full-time, permanent, and based on-site in Cessnock. Occasional additional hours and site visits may be required.
