Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Prepare, season and cook food items in accordance with the business standards, and service timelines. Complete daily mise en place, including preparing sauces, marinades, fillings, dressings, and garnishes. Portion, plate and present dishes consistently, ensuring quality, taste, and visual appeal. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked safely and correctly. Maintain strong portion control and consistency across all menu items during service. Perform stock rotation (FIFO), labelling, storage, and maintain freshness of ingredients. Monitor stock levels during preparation and service, and ensure ingredients are replenished and stored correctly. Receive deliveries, check quality and quantity of supplies, and store goods according to food safety requirements. Maintain a clean and organised workstation, ensuring strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Clean kitchen equipment and work areas, and complete end-of-shift kitchen clean-down procedures. Minimise waste by handling food items appropriately and following portion controls and preparation methods. Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to support efficient service delivery. Qualifications and Skills: Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery and/or a relevant qualification in Hospitality. At least 01 year of proven experience as a Cook under a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain consistency during busy service periods. Creativity in food preparation and presentation, with an eye for detail. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $76,000 - $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
