About the role: We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Receptionist/ Administration Officer with experience in the medical industry to join us on a part time basis with a minimum 40 hours per fortnight. Monday to Friday flexible roster. Duties and responsibilities: This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, as well as liaising with our 3 Support Offices. You will: Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary, specialised healthcare team to support patient care needs Front desk reception – greeting patients and visitors Admitting patients and taking payments Answering phone calls and patient enquiries Preparing patient admission paperwork Entering theatre list bookings Liaising with Surgeon rooms regarding theatre lists Patient eligibility checks with private health insurance or preparing self-insured estimations for patients Data entry and filing Other duties as directed by the Administration Manager and GM/ DON About You: Solid hospital/ healthcare administration/ reception experience Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to and liaise with all stakeholders Ability to work independently, show initiative, prioritise workloads and multitask Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, computer literacy, and proficient data entry skills Awareness of confidentiality, sensitivity and discretion Previous experience with patient administration systems desirable High level of attention to detail Culture and Benefits: At Nexus, caring for our people, patients and employees is at the centre of everything we do.
