Description Role scope: An exciting opportunity requires the appointment of a Senior Environmental Advisor to support the construction phase of a future energy project near Brisbane CBD for a leading Australian energy company. The role is based at the construction site (~20 kms from CBD). You will join and provide leadership in a high-performing consulting and EPC team. You will work closely with our engineering, construction and technical disciplines alongside specialist subcontractors to support delivery of the Construction Environmental Management Plan, compliance obligations, contractor onboarding, environment inductions, stewardship, field inspections and monitoring for this large multi-disciplinary project. Your Day to Day will Include: Support implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan for this major capital project. Develop and champion the Project environmental protection culture as part of Kent’s HSE Culture. Coordinate specialist subcontractors and manage them during construction. Support the Manager on the implementation of approval conditions. Support the assessment of risks and implementation of environmental safeguards for the project. Support evaluation and onboarding of key subcontractors. Support the development of permit applications and manage interfaces with third party stakeholders and agencies Support the review and improvement of the operational procedures and risk management practices. Provide advice and technical guidance in legislative, applicable standards, Client requirements and best practice. Implement an inspection program to monitor compliance of operational activities with management system and regulatory requirements. Ensure accurate and timely completion of environmental incident investigations. Monitoring subcontractor performance and compliance with Project requirements. About You: Our ideal candidate has a relevant degree (e.g. Environmental Science, Engineering, Planning or similar) and around six years of industry experience, including at least two years on construction sites. You are motivated to support the energy sector across existing assets and energy transition projects, with experience in construction-phase environmental roles within the energy, resources or infrastructure sectors. You bring a sound understanding of Queensland and Australian environmental legislation, contractor management, and consistently deliver practical, high-quality advice while adapting to changing business needs.
