Balkan Grill Restaurant, a family-owned business, is an authentic dining expedition through alluring Southeastern European flavors, serving Balkan cuisine. With 2 locations in St Albans and Reservoir, the business has grown and patronage is increasing. We now seek an experienced Cook to join the team. Working in a well-established kitchen, your responsibilities will include: Preparing, seasoning, and cooking food Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding sauces and garnishes Ensuring quality of ingredients and dishes Adhering to health regulations when managing food Contributing to menu planning as required The ideal candidate will present with: Relevant Certificate III or IV qualification in Commercial Cookery, or extensive experience with Balkan cuisine. 1-year year full time employment in a similar role Ability and experience working autonomously in a fast-paced commercial kitchen Passionate and experiences with Balkan cuisine Ability to deliver high quality meals Fully conversant with Health & Safety regulations Flexibility to work split shifts, including evenings and weekends If you are looking for a great opportunity this may be the role for you.
