A leading full-service national law firm in Sydney is seeking a talented construction litigation lawyer to join their highly regarded Construction team. The team advises on a broad range of construction matters, including complex disputes across commercial, industrial, residential, infrastructure, energy, and resources projects. The Role You will work closely with a respected construction and projects partner and a high-performing construction team, handling back-end construction matters. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-value disputes and contribute to a team known for its commercial approach and excellent client service. Key Responsibilities Manage construction disputes from instruction to resolution, including drafting pleadings, statements of claim/defence, and court documents. Conduct detailed legal research and provide practical, commercial advice to clients on contractual, statutory, and regulatory issues. Advise on risk management, dispute resolution strategies, and claims assessment across a variety of construction projects and sectors. Participate in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and adjudications, representing clients’ interests effectively. Liaise with clients, senior lawyers, and other stakeholders to coordinate strategy and keep matters on track. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, relevant case law, and legislative developments affecting construction projects and disputes. About You 1.5–5 years’ post-qualification experience in construction litigation, gained at a top-tier, mid-tier, or specialist firm. Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Commercially minded with the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
