We are looking for a Chief Concierge who leads with a natural, understated elegance. This role is about more than managing a desk, it is about being the primary storyteller of our hotel, ensuring that every guest feels an immediate, authentic sense of belonging the moment they arrive. Responsibilities As the leader of the arrival experience, you are responsible for the smooth operation of the lobby, bell desk, and driveway. Your daily focus will include: Directly overseeing and mentoring the Concierge and Porters, including managing rosters and conducting daily shift briefings to foster a "One Team, One Dream" culture. Managing all activity in the main lobby and driveways to ensure a seamless flow of traffic and a refined, welcoming atmosphere. Reviewing arrival and departure lists to roster the team effectively, ensuring the right coverage for group movements, VIPs, and daily itineraries. Briefing associates on all group details, including itineraries, group leaders, and room counts to ensure a flawless arrival process. Ensuring that guest luggage is correctly stored, labelled, and recorded in luggage control books, and coordinating valet parking services as required. Developing and delivering Standard Operating Procedures for the Concierge area and providing on-the-job coaching to ensure all colleagues meet our organizational standards. Upholding impeccable standards of personal appearance and ensuring the bell desk and lobby areas are always presented to a five-star level. Analysing recurring operational issues to establish root causes and making sound, timely decisions to improve the guest journey. Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will be a reliable and flexible professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone with: Previous experience in a similar leadership role within a five-star hotel luxury environment. A proven ability to demonstrate a commitment to outstanding guest service and the "Connect from the Heart" philosophy. Experience in skills training, motivating, and coaching staff to optimize individual and team performance. Impeccable professional presentation with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask with a high attention to detail. Computer literacy and a valid, full (manual) Driver’s Licence.
