CHANGE MANAGER - Higher Education Seeking an experienced Change Manager to support major technology-led transformation initiatives at one of Australia's leading universities. This role will play a critical part in enabling the successful adoption of new digital platforms, systems, and ways of working across academic and professional staff. WHAT'S ON OFFER $950.00 per day inclusive of super Initial 6-month engagement, with strong possibility of extension Flexible working arrangements, Melbourne CBD Hybrid working model Opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-wide university transformation programs THE ROLE: We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to support multiple transformation initiatives within a higher education environment. Working closely with Project and Program Managers, you will be responsible for defining and delivering end-to-end organisational change management activities across a portfolio of digital, operational, and strategic initiatives. A critical component of this role will be assessing stakeholder impacts, shaping tailored change approaches, and delivering targeted interventions to ensure successful adoption, capability uplift, and sustainable outcomes across academic and professional staff cohorts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead end-to-end change management across technology-enabled transformation initiatives, including the implementation of new digital platforms, systems, and tools Conduct detailed technology change impact and business readiness assessments across faculties, divisions, and enabling functions Develop and execute integrated change strategies and plans aligned to complex technology programs and delivery milestones Design and deliver stakeholder engagement approaches to support adoption of new technologies across academic, professional, and executive audiences Develop and deliver clear, targeted change and technology communications to drive awareness, understanding, and behavioural change Partner with Learning and Development teams to design and deliver system, process, and capability uplift training strategies Lead business readiness activities to ensure operational preparedness for new systems, digital processes, and ways of working Coach and support leaders, product owners, and change champions to drive sustained adoption of technology change Identify, manage, and mitigate change risks and dependencies impacting technology delivery and adoption Ensure effective handover, embedding, and transition of technology changes into business-as-usual operations THE COMPANY: A leading multi-sector university with more than 90,000 students and 10,000 staff globally. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Minimum 4 years' experience working as a Change Manager within a project or program delivery environment Demonstrated experience delivering organisational change within higher education or similarly complex, multi-stakeholder environments Proven application of structured change management methodologies (e.g. PROSCI / ADKAR) Experience supporting large-scale digital, operational, and enterprise transformation initiatives Strong capability conducting change impact assessments and business readiness assessments across diverse stakeholder groups Proven experience developing and delivering end-to-end change artefacts, including: Change management strategies and plans, Stakeholder engagement plans, Communications strategies and delivery plans, Training and learning strategies, Business readiness, transition, and embedding plans. Experience engaging with academic, professional, and executive stakeholders Demonstrated success embedding technology, process, cultural, and ways-of-working change Strong risk, issue, and dependency identification and mitigation related to change outcomes Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and adapt to shifting timelines Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across all organisational levels Strong attention to detail with a delivery-focused mindset Advanced Microsoft Office / Office 365 skills Ability to provide specialist advice, coaching, and guidance on organisational change best practice Please note: You must have full working rights in Australia and be based in Melbourne.
