About the Role ASD is seeking multiple Infrastructure Engineers (APS6 equivalent) to support the implementation, management, sustainment, and retirement of ICT infrastructure across physical, virtual, networking, and cloud environments. Successful candidates will be placed into business areas based on operational needs and will contribute to the delivery of secure, high‑availability systems supporting ASD's mission. This RFQ will also establish a merit pool for future vacancies over the next 12 months. Key Responsibilities Investigate, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure and network issues Manage support requests and outstanding problems in line with Defence and ASD standards Design and implement network changes, upgrades, and maintenance routines Analyse system availability, reliability, maintainability, and serviceability Apply knowledge of Defence and industry networking technologies, devices, and architectures Build and maintain effective working relationships across ASD teams Interpret and comply with security policy, contributing to standards and guidelines Identify and implement alternative solutions to complex systems issues Support infrastructure lifecycle activities including installation and de‑installation of systems and components Required Skills and Experience Experience with infrastructure management tools for load, performance, and capacity analysis Experience developing or configuring automation scripts Strong background in analysing service levels, performance targets, and system reliability Demonstrated experience resolving complex systems issues Experience installing and de‑installing complex systems or components High‑level understanding of networking protocols, architectures, devices, and topologies Proficiency in network automation Diploma or Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Security Requirements Australian citizenship (mandatory) NV2 or TSPV clearance Must complete ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to commencement Engagement Details Estimated start: 30 April 2026 Onsite work only (no WFH due to operational requirements) Up to 40 hours per week Multiple positions available Merit pool created for future roles Why Work With Us Support ASD's national security mission Work with cutting‑edge infrastructure and secure technologies Long‑term contract opportunities with extension potential High‑performing, mission‑focused technical teams Ongoing support from Cleared throughout the engagement Diversity and Inclusion Cleared is committed to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace.
