Project Controls Engineer - Energy, Resources & Industrial Location: Sydney, NSW Employment Type: Full-time About the Opportunity We're establishing a new Project Controls Function within our Energy, Resources & Industrial division and seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to lead this initiative. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the project controls framework for a growing business unit while working on major projects across diverse industrial sectors. The Role As our Project Controls Engineer, you'll be the cost and schedule focal point for major projects, providing critical support to ensure successful delivery within budget and on time. You'll work closely with project teams, developing comprehensive schedules, monitoring performance, and providing accurate forecasts that drive informed decision-making. Your key responsibilities will include establishing Work Breakdown Structures, managing project budgets and cost codes, developing master schedules, producing monthly claims and financial reports, and maintaining project variations in our financial systems. You'll also prepare End of Month forecasting reports and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Finance teams. What You'll Bring Degree in Engineering, Business or related field Minimum 5 years' experience as a project controller in industrial construction and/or maintenance Strong knowledge in detailed planning and estimating Analytical mindset with solution-focused approach Excellent communication skills and team collaboration abilities Experience with scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project) highly regarded Why Join Us?
