Paradiso is a long established European restaurant located at 215 Camberwell Road Hawthorn East opposite the Rivoli Cinema in the heart of the Camberwell Junction. We are seeking a qualified and dedicated chef who is committed to exceeding our customer's expectations whilst leading a professional and hardworking team. The eligible candidates will be performing the following duties: Prepare all dishes to our high standards consistently. Controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other kitchen duties Ensure OH &S and food hygiene requirements are met. Work unsupervised and in a team while maintaining a secure and friendly working environment. Assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ordering and stock control. To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following: Advanced understanding and appreciation of all aspects of food and its services. 2 years of proven kitchen experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Qualification in commercial cookery - Cert iv or higher. Flexible availability. Strong leadership, motivational and people skills Overall knowledge of operations, ordering, stock control and working to budget.
