Clinical Audit Lead Location: Thomas Embling Hospital Grade: RPN4/OT3/SW3/P3 Full time Position objective: The Clinical Audit Lead works in partnership with the Quality and Safety team, clinical governance frameworks, executive and operational managers, clinical/non-clinical staff, and consumers to ensure that Forensicare has an effective, coordinated organisation wide approach to clinical audits. This position is supported by the Clinical Audit Partner. The position will be responsible for the coordination of a portfolio of clinical audits, as well as monitoring audit trends across the organisation, developing the annual clinical audit schedule and providing expert advice and support to staff completing clinical audits. The position also ensures that appropriate quality improvement activities and developed out of audits and that these are implemented in a timely manner. The Clinical Audit Lead is also responsible for the development of clinical audits to monitor the successes and gaps of Forensicare’s Core Forensic Model. This position holds responsibility for Forensicare’s clinical audit portfolio and is the point of escalation for all clinical audit matters. What you need: A Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health nursing or equivalent and current registration with AHPRA is desirable OR tertiary degree qualification (or equivalent) in psychology, occupational therapy or social work and registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency) or eligible for registration with the AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers) Demonstrated significant experience in Clinical Governance, accreditation, safety, quality and risk management systems Significant, demonstrated experience in developing clinical audit tools, completing clinical audits, and developing and implementing quality improvements based on audit results Experience working in a complex healthcare setting To view the full position description, please visit here Please note, applications will be reviewed and accessed as received.
