We are currently seeking a reliable and mechanically minded Trade Assistant to join our valued client in an industry-leading manufacturer of heavy mobile plant equipment. About the Role This role offers hands-on workshop experience working alongside Boilermakers, Fitters, and other skilled trades, with genuine potential to transition to a permanent position. As a Trade Assistant, you will support multiple workshop-based trades in the manufacture, assembly, and handling of heavy mobile plant components, while ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient workshop environment. Location: Bassendean Day shift • Monday to Friday • 6:00am – 4:30pm - Overtime paid at penalty rates after 8 hours Pay & Benefits • $46 per hour Penalties • Temp to perm opportunity • Ongoing, stable work with a reputable employer • Exposure to large-scale, industry-leading equipment Key Responsibilities • Assisting Boilermakers, Fitters, and other trades in a workshop environment • Supporting the manufacture and assembly of heavy mobile plant equipment • Operating forklifts and performing rigging tasks • Manual handling of heavy components • Maintaining high safety, housekeeping, and quality standards • Following site procedures and safe work practices Essential Requirements • C Class Driver’s Licence • High-Risk Forklift Licence • Rigging Ticket • Strong mechanical aptitude • Previous experience with heavy equipment or large components • Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment • Good written and verbal communication skills • Strong commitment to safety and workplace standards • Full Australian working rights Why Apply?
