Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Manager, Data Science & Analytics to lead a focused team of data scientists responsible for delivering predictive modelling solutions that power Cotality’s core data products. This is a key leadership role where you will own high-value models, such as the Automated Valuation Model (AVM), while contributing to machine learning image processing and AI-driven data generation. You will be accountable for translating strategic priorities into technical delivery, ensuring models are accurate, scalable, and commercially impactful across our Australia and New Zealand operations. What You Will Be Doing: Manage and mentor a direct team of 6 data scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Oversee the end-to-end delivery of predictive models, image processing, and AI/LLM solutions. Translate business needs into modelling objectives, working with product teams to prioritise high-impact use cases. Review and refine model outputs to ensure statistical rigour, explainability, and alignment with commercial goals. Promote best practices in model development, validation, and deployment across the team. Champion ethical modelling, ensuring fairness, transparency, and compliance with governance standards. Liaise with internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders to integrate models into internal workflows and products. Job Qualifications: What You Will Bring: Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Leadership Experience: 7 years of experience in data science or quantitative analysis, including at least 2 years of proven ability in leading, mentoring, and building high-performing teams. Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience developing and deploying predictive models (specifically valuation and image-based ML) with strong proficiency in Python, R, and cloud-based analytics environments. Commercial Mindset: A track record of translating complex business problems into data science solutions that deliver measurable commercial impact. Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders, executives, and cross-functional teams. AI Governance: Deep understanding of ethical AI principles, model governance, and regulatory compliance, acting as a thought leader in the space.
