Due to growth in our Infrastructure Services business, we are currently looking for a full time Pit Leading Hand to join Fulton Hogan’s Tynong Quarry. Reporting to the Quarry Supervisor, the Pit Leading Hand will be responsible for a range of tasks and will be a reliable and strong team player. We are looking for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and working outdoors. Outstanding candidates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn will also be strongly considered. The team primarily operates Monday to Friday, with overtime available on Saturdays . Duties also include but are not limited to: Proactively problem solve day to day issues on site Able to step up and lead the crew when and if required Operating sales and face loader. Operating haul truck. Operating fixed & mobile quarry crushing equipment and mobile plant Conducting repairs and maintenance on equipment and plant as required Compliance with all Fulton Hogan Safety, Environmental and Quality standards and targets How you’ll connect to the role? Experience on quarry earthmoving equipment is essential; holding current ticket/licences Experience on fixed & mobile quarry crushing equipment and mobile crushing plant preferred but not essential; holding current ticket/licences Possess the skills to undertake plant repairs and maintenance preferred but not essential Excellent interpersonal skills A positive attitude to safety that delivers a zero harm environment.
