Specialising in the high-end sector of the residential market, this boutique studio only commits to a limited number of projects each year to ensure their clientele get the attention and detail they deserve. With a number of luxury projects underway, they’re seeking a detail-focused, technically capable Interior Designer to provide support in an all-round capacity. You'll need to possess a strong grasp of documentation, detailing, procurement and spatial design with experience on high-end residential fitouts. Responsibilities will include attending client consultations and meetings, assisting with FF&E procurement, project installations and photo shoots, sourcing products, managing samples and creating polished presentation material. Whilst the initial focus will be to support and execute highly refined joinery detailing and documentation, with time, there will be room for growth into greater creative responsibility. You’ll work closely with the Studio Director and their small internal team, contributing to all stages of the design process and liaising with clients, architects, suppliers, and trades. Skills, Requirements & Duties Bachelor of Interior Design or Interior Architecture 5 years’ experience in high-end residential design ($5M-$15M) Proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, Photoshop, Procreate Excellent documentation and detailing skills Able to coordinate drawings across consultants and suppliers Track and manage documentation sets, schedules, design details Prepare full documentation sets - joinery, lighting, bathroom, finishes Clear, personable communication style and confident, flexible approach Trustworthy, discreet and capable of handling confidential information Outstanding organisation and time management skills Willingness to follow and refine established creative direction Able to work independently and collaboratively as needed The Director values initiative, effort and details, someone who takes pride in precision and cares deeply about their work and the client experience created. The ultimate objective will be for you to take a clearly defined vision and see it through to polished, buildable outcomes. Initially offered on a part-time, 3-day week basis, the intention is for this role to transition into a permanent, full-time position in the next few months.
