Heavy Diesel Fitter Also required : Driller Fitters, Digger Fitters Location: Goldfields, WA Roster: 2:2 or 7:7 - Workshop AND Underground work available Rate: $85 per hour Transport : Interstate flights paid for Employment Type: Casual - potential for rolling rosters Role Overview We're seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join a supportive team environment in the Goldfields. This role offers consistent rosters, strong earning potential, and the chance to work on a variety of machinery in a well-equipped surface workshop. Many of our candidates enjoy working for this client as the work is varied, technical, and OEM‑level, not just breakdowns. You get exposure to underground loaders, trucks, graders, and specialised support equipment, all built to a high engineering standard. The team is stable, the work is consistent, and there’s a genuine focus on training, upskilling, and long‑term development. Duties Carry out maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on underground mobile equipment (e.g. loaders, trucks, drills). Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime. Conduct component change-outs and rebuilds (engines, transmissions, hydraulics, driveline). Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems. Undertake welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required for repairs. Use OEM manuals and technical drawings to guide accurate repairs. Complete workshop-based overhauls of underground fleet components. Operate diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical/electrical faults. Ensure all work complies with site safety standards and procedures.
