Associate / Lead Engineer – Asset Integrity and Materials Your role As an Associate or Lead Engineer within Aurecon’s Asset Integrity & Materials team, you will play a key role in delivering high-value asset integrity services for clients across the Industrial, Transport and Water sectors. You will provide technical leadership, shape solutions for complex infrastructure challenges, and help our clients extend the safe, reliable life of their most critical assets. What you’ll be doing Based in Brisbane, with occasional travel to client project and operational sites, you will work within a diverse, highly skilled team of engineers and scientists. Your focus will be on the inspection, assessment, repair, maintenance and life-extension of complex infrastructure assets. You will take a leadership role in project delivery, client engagement, and business development, building trusted relationships, leading technical teams, and contributing to the continued growth of our asset integrity capability. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Provide technical leadership and project delivery across asset integrity engagements for critical infrastructure, including ports and marine structures, bridges, water and wastewater facilities, and bulk materials handling assets Apply strong expertise in structural engineering and/or materials science to asset integrity, reliability, and life-extension projects Champion quality, technical excellence, and continuous improvement in all aspects of delivery Drive innovation and automation in project execution and technical workflows Manage small to medium consulting projects, delivering strong commercial and client outcomes Build and maintain trusted client relationships, and lead the preparation of winning proposals Lead, mentor and develop a small team of engineers and scientists You will also have opportunities to collaborate across Aurecon’s broader business, contributing your expertise to projects across multiple markets and geographies. What you’ll bring You are a Chartered Engineer and RPEQ with 10 years’ experience in asset integrity, reliability services, structural engineering and/or materials science. You bring deep technical capability in your field, combined with a strong commitment to learning and professional growth. Alongside your technical expertise, you will have demonstrated capability in: Project leadership and delivery Client engagement and relationship management Team leadership and mentoring Commercial awareness and proposal development Your ability to balance technical rigour with commercial outcomes will enable you to deliver market-leading services and help grow Aurecon’s asset integrity portfolio.
