News Australia is looking for a Trade Marketing Director – Content to lead the charge in developing transformative content marketing strategies that engage with our audiences across media agencies and marketers. In this high-impact role, you will oversee our comprehensive content ecosystem, spanning Paid, Earned, and Owned channels,your mission is to elevate our trade presence and drive measurable business results. The Role As a senior person within the Client Marketing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cohesive and quality of output of the paid earned and owned content team through strategies, opportunity identification, business plans and initiatives to deliver business objectives. You’ll work alongside the National Head of Client Marketing to ensure our "operating rhythm" is seamless and our output is world-class. Key Responsibilities: Lead the production of owned content (client newsletters, thought leadership, video, social) and plan complimentary paid media campaigns. Benchmark and report on the efficacy of our content strategy, using data to pivot and optimise in real-time. Be able to present this to key stakeholders. Analyse emerging trends in marketing and communications to identify "what's next". Cultivate deep relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure win-win outcomes. Foster a high-performance environment, providing clarity on strategy and supporting the growth of your team members. Manage related budgets to ensure ROAS. Who are you? You are a strategic heavyweight with at least 10 years of marketing experience. You don't just execute tasks; you see the "big picture" and translate it into breakthrough strategies. You have a deep understanding of the Australian media landscape and a strong opinion on where it’s heading. You are comfortable with dashboards and data, using them to tell the story of your marketing ROI. You excel at breaking down silos and building partnerships You have a reputation for delivering on commitments and pushing yourself (and others) to achieve outstanding outcomes even when the pressure is on You can tailor your style to any audience, from the boardroom to the sales floor. You understand the pressures of the sales team and bring ways of working that support that.
