About the role The Principal Work Health and Safety Consultant provides strategic, data-driven leadership of WHS services across WCHN, ensuring legislative compliance and meeting accreditation standards. The role leads WHS systems, risk management and improvement initiatives, partnering with stakeholders to enhance workforce safety, wellbeing and organisational performance. Key duties of the role Implement WHS plans, programs and strategies which support the strategic priorities of WCHN Contribute to the development of strategies to meet WHS objectives Monitor WHS performance to ensure emerging risks are escalated Lead innovative approaches in response to WHS risks Partner with WCHN and Workforce staff to identify strategies for improving safety and wellbeing Skills and Experience Significant experience in the development of WHS strategies in a large organisation Experience in WHS systems planning, implementation, assessment and improvement In-depth knowledge of WHS principles, delegated safety roles, and responsibilities Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to plan, develop and lead the implementation of WHS systems Ability to interpret and respond to changes in legislation, standards, and processes Enquiries can be directed to Naomi Szetu Director Work Health Safety, Injury Management and Worker Health Naomi.Szetu@sa.gov.au 0402 102 506 Want to learn more about career opportunities at WCHN?
