The service works in close partnership with NSW Health, NSW Police Service and the judicial system to deliver high quality, trauma informed care. A highly specialised forensic clinical service Strong multidisciplinary and interagency collaboration Commitment to patient centred, ethical and accountable practice Focus on quality improvement, education and research Supportive leadership culture within a large health district What You'll Be Doing As the Nursing Unit Manager, you will lead and coordinate the delivery of safe, high quality forensic nursing care while managing the operational and professional standards of the Unit, including the ability to contribute to an on-call roster. Essential Criteria Qualifications: Tertiary Qualifications in Nursing or relevant Senior Nursing Experience Registration: Current unrestricted authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Selection Criteria Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills – including the ability to present in training sessions, discuss matters in court and communicate to a number of stakeholders including Police, Social Workers and other Nurses and Doctors Demonstrated strong written skills – including the ability to develop briefs, prepare court correspondence and develop training and other written communication as required Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to provide forensic and nursing care Demonstrated Clinical experience with assessing immediate health care needs of patients and providing a referral service as required Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrated organisational and time management skills. Experience in, or commitment to developing experience with the provision of forensic assessments. Current Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
