About The Role The Senior Urban Designer will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality urban design and strategic planning initiatives. Reporting to the Team Leader – Strategic Planning, you will provide expert advice on urban design, heritage assessments, and lead significant projects aimed at enhancing the livability and sustainability of the Shire. Your responsibilities will include assessing development applications, contributing to heritage strategies, and implementing place plans that align with community expectations and outcomes. Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong background in urban design and strategic planning, with a focus on heritage and community engagement. Tertiary qualifications in architecture, heritage architecture, or urban design. Experience in local or state government urban design projects. Expertise in assessing development proposals with heritage considerations. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
