In this position, you’ll play a key part in injury and illness prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-work programs, while also driving initiatives that enhance overall employee wellbeing. Working closely with employees, managers, healthcare providers, and insurers, you’ll coordinate tailored support and ensure timely, effective outcomes for both individuals and the organisation. This role is working on our Ampol Future Fuels project at Lytton. This is an approx. 6Month assignement In this role, some of the following duties you will undertake but not limited to: Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing, and raise awareness about best practices for injury/illness prevention Conduct regular assessments of workplace hazards and develop strategies to minimise the risk of injuries and illness Implement HSSE training, programs and initiatives pertaining to occupational health, safety and wellbeing Serve as a main point of contact and facilitate the immediate response to injuries/illnesses, ensuring that necessary medical care is promptly provided Coordinate the documentation and reporting of injuries, including Workers’ Compensation claims• Coordinate Return to Work Plans, Health Management Plans, and associated processes, based on medical advice Work closely with stakeholders (e.g. employees, management and supervision, healthcare professionals and insurance agencies) to develop and implement individualised strategies to stay at work, or return to work. Monitor and track injured/ill employees’ progress, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout their recovery Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to workplace safety, injury management, workers’ compensation Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of workplace injuries/illnesses, interventions and associated documentation Prepare reports and analysis on injury statistics, trends, and program effectiveness for management review Identify opportunities to review, develop and modify organisation processes in line with best practice About You: Our ideal candidate will have experience within occupational health, injury management, or the workers’ compensation industry, supported by relevant rehabilitation and return-to-work training or certification. They will hold current Mental Health First Aid, First Aid and CPR certification, with a Construction White Card and Working at Heights or Confined Space certification highly desirable. Nursing or paramedic qualifications and advanced first aid are advantageous. The role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to proactively engage, influence, and support stakeholders through empathetic listening, clear written and verbal communication, and effective negotiation and conflict resolution.
