We are looking for an experienced motor mechanic to join our team As a motor mechanic, you will be responsible for the following: • Detect and diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, steering, brakes, and electrical systems, often with computer assistance. • Perform routine services like oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups, plus scheduled maintenance to meet compliance standards. • Dismantle, repair, replace worn or defective parts, and reassemble mechanical and electrical components. • Test and adjust repaired parts for proper performance and ensure vehicles are safe for the road. • Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers. • Communicate with vehicle owners about issues and required repairs. • Inspect vehicles and issue certificates or detail work needed for roadworthiness Qualifications, Experience and other skills desired • Must have at least Certificate III in a related field • At least one year of experience as a motor mechanic • Deep understanding of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering and electrical systems • Skilled in dismantling, repairing, replacing and reassembling parts • Familiarity with modern vehicle electronics
