Description Childcare Centre Coordinator Reference number: 10969 Closing date: 11:00pm, 10 February 2026 Permanent full-time leadership role | Keilor East Salary commencing at $100,577 per annum &43; 12% superannuation Lead a Large, Integrated Early Learning Service in Keilor East This is a standout opportunity for an accomplished Childcare Centre Coordinator / Centre Director / Early Years Leader to take the helm of Moonee Valley City Council’s largest early learning centre. This role is purpose-built for an experienced leader who is confident managing complexity, scale, and people and who is ready to lead a high-performing service within a strong local government framework. You will oversee a large, multidisciplinary team and be supported by an experienced Early Years Regional Team Leader, along with a broader network of internal Council teams. The Role As Childcare Centre Coordinator, you will provide strategic, operational, and pedagogical leadership across the entire service, ensuring exceptional outcomes for children, families, and staff. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and inspiring a large, established team across childcare and integrated kindergarten programs Setting clear expectations and building a strong culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement Ensuring excellence and compliance across the National Quality Framework, Child Safe Standards, and all regulatory requirements Managing centre operations at scale, including staffing, rosters, budgets, and resources Partnering with the Regional Team Leader on service planning, performance, and quality improvement Driving strategic initiatives, including School Readiness Funding projects and future-focused service development Building strong, respectful relationships with families, Council stakeholders, and external partners This role offers genuine influence, not just in day-to-day operations, but in shaping the direction and quality of one of Council’s flagship early learning services. About You You are a confident, experienced early childhood leader with a proven ability to manage large, complex services and lead teams with clarity and purpose. You bring strong professional judgement, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to high-quality outcomes. You will have: A Degree and/or Diploma of Children’s Services (or equivalent) recognised under the Education and Care National Law and Regulations Significant experience leading a childcare centre or early learning service, ideally within a large or integrated setting Advanced knowledge of the National Quality Framework, curriculum frameworks, and Child Safe Standards Demonstrated success in people leadership, performance management, and team development Strong financial and operational management capability, including budgeting and reporting The ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with the Early Years Regional Team Leader A strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing You will also hold: Working with Children Check First Aid Level 2 and CPR Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management DET Mandatory Reporting certification Why This Role?
