Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer with a strong background in C#/.NET Core to join our Sydney team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs, with hands-on expertise in cloud-native architectures and microservices. Responsibilities: Architect and develop scalable, high-performance backend services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using C#/.NET Core. Design and implement microservices architectures leveraging AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, EKS, and RDS. Develop and maintain cloud-native solutions, incorporating serverless and event-driven patterns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Manage CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and utilize DevOps best practices. Write comprehensive unit tests (using xUnit, NUnit) to ensure code quality and maintainability. Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications for performance and security. Skills & Experience: 7 years of software development experience, with a significant focus on backend services. Proven expertise in building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs. Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, serverless, and event-driven development. Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with AWS EKS or Kubernetes. Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, RDS. Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Solid understanding of unit testing frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, and code quality tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with frontend integration (e.g., working with frontend teams or API consumption). Knowledge of other programming languages or frameworks.
