JOB PURPOSE : We are looking for an Ice Cream Brand Manager who will lead and execute the development and implementation of local Refreshment brand plans in Australia and New Zealand to achieve long and short term business goals. This role will also lead new project development and execution across ANZ, working closely with key agencies, customer development teams and relevant global teams. Some of our Refreshment Brands include Weis, Paddle Pop, Calippo, Cyclone, Splice and Bubble O’Bill. Moreover, this role will build productive working relationships with customer development, consumer insights team, category team, finance and supply chain to manage the brand’s day-to-day operations and key annual activities. This role is based in the Sydney CBD (with monthly visits to the Minto NSW Manufacturing site) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Act as a key support to Senior Brand Manager across the Refreshment portfolio Strategic Brand Management: Develop and execute integrated brand marketing plans aligned with business objectives. Translate consumer and shopper insights into actionable strategies to drive brand performance. Innovation & Category Development: Work with cross-functional teams on innovation gatekeeping and innovation deployment. Monitor and analyse category and brand performance to optimize plans and identify growth opportunities. Campaign Ideation & Execution: Partner with media agencies to design and implement disruptive media campaigns. Manage influencer strategies, asset development, and in-store activation in collaboration with customer development teams. E2E Brand Planning & Integration: Lead the seamless integration of all brand communications and activities across every channel to maintain strong brand consistency and guardianship. Ensure campaigns and promotions are optimised across touchpoints including communications, in‑store activation, POSM, digital, experiential, and retail to maximise overall brand and commercial impact Performance Marketing: Continuously review brand performance across key metrics, channels, and activities. Use data, insights, and in‑market results to diagnose issues, identify opportunities, and optimise plans to improve overall brand effectiveness and commercial outcomes. Project Management: Managing multiple innovation initiatives consecutively and ensuring OTIF delivery across Refreshment NPD Agenda, with ability to support both local development and imported product launches, driving cross‑functional alignment and timely execution. Budget & Performance Management: Own the brand budget, ensuring effective allocation and management. Track performance metrics and develop contingency plans to meet P&L targets. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain and customer development, to deliver seamless execution. Engage with global and regional teams to leverage assets and best practices. Leadership & Development: Guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and growth. Category Strategy & Portfolio management - Ability to shape category direction and optimise brand portfolio roles to deliver long‑term growth. P&L Accountability - Strong financial ownership and understanding of drivers impacting topline & bottom line growth. Customer Understanding - Deep insight into shopper, consumer and customer needs to inform strategy, innovation, and activation Brand Marketing Planning - Competence in leading 12QTR plans, strategic prioritisation, and integrated campaign development. Discipline & Brilliance in Execution - Track record of delivering high‑quality, on‑time execution across multiple projects and channels. Strong Business Acumen - Commercially minded decision‑making with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy and results. Operator Mindset with Creative Thinking - Brings strong operational discipline, project leadership, and executional rigour while also applying creative and strategic thinking to unlock compelling brand ideas and solutions. EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS: Strong foundations and experience in brand marketing (3 years), with exposure to brand development, activation, and customer/ channel marketing. Good understanding of all aspects of consumer insight, including monitoring brand health, measuring comms effectiveness, innovation insights and evaluation, and sales performance monitoring. Experience with scan data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Quantium) and other performance marketing analytics to track performance. Able to interpret drivers and drainers of share, distribution and promotional effectiveness, and translate insights into clear optimisation actions that improve brand and commercial outcomes. Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, driving alignment and execution across cross‑functional teams (e.g., Sales, Supply, Category, Finance, R&D, Agencies). Strong track record of delivering initiatives OTIF, resolving barriers, and maintaining momentum in a fast‑paced environment. Proven ability to develop and execute effective brand strategies and campaigns Experience managing budgets and working with media, creative agencies, and cross-functional teams Strong influencing and people management skills - ability to engage/motivate colleagues and stakeholders behind a project, including the ability to reconcile and sell both commercial and purpose-driven agenda.
