About the Role As the Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of students at either Townsville State High School (0.8FTE) or Cranbrook State School (0.5FTE). You will work closely with school staff, students, and families to provide professional support and interventions that enhance learning and wellbeing. Key responsibilities include: Providing individual and group counselling and therapeutic interventions to students and families. Conducting psycho-educational assessments to support students with learning and adjustment difficulties. Delivering professional development programs for teachers, parents, and other professionals. Collaborating with community agencies to ensure coordinated support for students and families. Supporting school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Experience in providing counselling and therapeutic interventions for children and families. Proficiency in conducting psycho-educational assessments and interpreting results. Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders. Ability to develop and deliver professional development programs. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
