About the opportunity The Recruitment and Appointments Officer will support the delivery of a client focused end-to-end recruitment service in accordance with Queensland Health policy and guidelines to meet the organisational requirements of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. PLEASE NOTE - This is a temporary full-time role, 02/02/2026 - 30/10/2026, with a possibility of an extension not exceeding 12 months. (AO3) 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5 % loading Locality allowance 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available Requirements: Previous end to end recruitment experience (including the advertising component), knowledge in talent acquisition and highly developed administration experience would be highly desirable. The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of legislation, policies and guidelines relating to the recruitment and selection process within a large, complex organisation. Proven ability in time management skills to prioritise and coordinate activities in a demanding team environment of high volumes to meet established deadlines and provide high quality, efficient and customer focussed service. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer systems and software applications, i.e. Microsoft Office and HR system programs. Proven ability in front line customer services, delivering high levels of support through consultative, interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills to all levels of employees and management, and respect relevant stakeholders' confidentiality. * Proven strong work ethics, initiative and a positive attitude in producing quality work.
