With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Perioperative Trained Registered Nurse to join the General Operating Theatres Epping.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, surgical, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.  About the Role: This role requires the successful candidate to have previous Operating theatre experience as an all-rounder, scrub/scout anaesthetic and Recovery nursing. Northern Health Epping Campus has 10 operating theatres inclusive of 2 hybrid theatres. Specialties include - Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Urology, General Surgical, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Vascular and Thoracic.  This role is responsible for: Ensuring safe, effective and high-quality patient care in accordance to Policy and ACORN/ACPAN Standards Ensuring compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards Promoting a culture of safety, inclusivity, innovation and continuous improvement  To be successful in this role you will have: Experience and good working knowledge of various surgical specialties and procedures Proven ability to critically think Demonstrated knowledge of Perioperative Nursing Well-developed computer and literacy skills A commitment to Norther Health Values of Safe, Kind and Together and to delivering outstanding patient experience  Next Steps . . .  If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
