Full time ongoing position Salary range: $113,668 - $131,153 plus super Up to $15,900 in salary packaging, flexible hybrid work arrangement About the role The Financial and Systems Accountant is responsible for the delivery of the financial accounting and reporting function, ensuring that Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) meets its financial governance and statutorty reporting requirements. This includes supporting a strong internal controls environment to mitigate risks, ensuring the integrity of VLA's financial records and statutory compliance with a strong emphasis on process improvement. In addition, this role will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the financial system and interface with other systems. This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country. About you As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Extensive experience in delivering financial accounting services, including accounting systems similar to TechnologyOne (mandatory). Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards, concepts, and policies – ideally gained within Victorian Public Sector (VPS). Strong organisational skills with a demonstrated ability of meeting tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication to engage with and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
