About the role: An Early Learning Specialist Teacher is primarily responsible for planning and implementing an educational early years program which provides for the physical, emotional, developmental and social needs of students. The Early Learning Specialist Teacher (Library/Inquiry) will develop and implement curriculum consistent with best educational practice and the philosophy inspired by Reggio Emilia. Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: Developing and managing the learning of students from lesson planning to assessment and reporting. Encouraging, challenging and inspiring students through the creation of interesting, appropriate and thoughtful experiences across the STEM, Library and Digital Technologies and Health and Wellbeing disciplines. Preparing quality learning and assessment resources within the context of the established curriculum (STEM, Library and Digital Technologies and Health and Wellbeing) under the guidance of the Head of ELC, in partnership with other teachers. Reporting student learning outcomes respectfully, timely, accurately and in detail, in written form and via telephone conversations and/or parent-teacher interviews. Use student assessment data and achievement feedback to evaluate and direct teaching and learning planning. Participate in the creation, development and evaluation of curriculum in line with the School and the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy work and learning environment that is respectful, safe and supportive of all students and the whole school community.
