About the Role We are seeking a Cleaner to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of Scarborough State School by maintaining a clean and safe environment. Reporting to the Principal or their delegate, this role is vital in ensuring the school remains a welcoming and engaging space for students, staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include: Cleaning and sanitising classrooms, toilet facilities, and common areas. Maintaining equipment and ensuring cleanliness of outdoor surfaces. Managing rubbish disposal and graffiti removal. Activating and disarming security systems, as well as locking and unlocking buildings. Liaising with the Principal or Business Manager regarding cleaning materials and reporting safety or security concerns. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good communication skills for liaising with staff and reporting issues. Experience in cleaning or a similar role (beneficial but not mandatory). Understanding of workplace health and safety practices. Interested?
