About your opportunity: The Podiatrist role will deliver a High-Risk foot service based on current Best Practice Guidelines to consumers of Queensland Health, including those with chronic disease and 'acute and high-risk feet'. This will include, but is not limited to those with amputations, foot ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and gross foot deformities. The role will involve representation and development of both out-patient and inpatient podiatry services within the Townsville University Hospital and the organisation of day-to-day operations of the podiatry services within the Sub-Acute Care Unit and wider Townsville area. About the unit: Townsville Hospital and Health Service Podiatry Department services include: Acute In-patient & Emergency Department High Risk Foot services. Allied Health Out-patient High Risk Foot Podiatry services. Multidisciplinary High Risk Foot services with Vascular and Endocrinology teams. Post-acute and hospital avoidance community based High Risk Foot services. Multidisciplinary Foot care collaborative hub servicing Townsville, North-west and Mackay Hospital and Health Services.
