Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking an experienced HSEQ Coordinator to support safety, quality, environmental, and compliance outcomes across a major aviation precinct. Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager, you will work closely with operational teams and client stakeholders to maintain strong HSEQ practices, promote safe work, and support effective service delivery. This role blends office-based coordination with regular on-site engagement, inspections, and conversations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being visible, approachable, and connected to day-to-day operations. About You You are calm, observant, and people-focused, with the confidence to engage across varied stakeholder groups. You value clear communication, practical solutions, and fostering safe, supportive working environments. You're comfortable bridging operational realities with compliance requirements and enjoy helping teams succeed safely. Key Responsibilities - Maintain and improve ISO-certified management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001) - Promote a positive, inclusive safety culture through site engagement and toolbox talks - Coordinate incident, injury, and near-miss reporting and follow-up - Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc audits, inspections, and safety walks - Prepare HSEQ reports, insights, and presentations - Support subcontractor compliance and documentation - Maintain CMMS records and assist with service contract coordination - Support after-hours on-call arrangements to ensure site coverage - Stay informed on legislative changes and share guidance with teams Education, Experience & Skills Essential: - 3-5 years' experience in a similar HSEQ or operational compliance role (all levels encouraged to apply) - Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and ISO management systems - Experience in facilities management or operational environments - Confident communication skills with diverse stakeholder groups - Certificate IV in WHS/OHS (Diploma desirable) - Valid driver's licence Desirable: - ICAM investigation experience - SAI Global auditing exposure - Experience with Intelex and/or Avetta systems - First Aid certification Workplace Flexibility This position is full-time on-site at Melbourne Airport , with flexibility around start and finish times within core business hours.
