Westfill is a specialised underground mining contractor and service provider based in Western Australia, with decades of boots-on-the-ground experience and practical knowledge to provide quality personnel, products and operational contract services into the underground mining industry. What you'll do: Lead end-to-end management of underground mining operations at WA-based site. Management of the execution of the full underground mining cycle – drill and blast, bogging, trucking, ground support. Manage works to agreed mining plans and targets in co-ordination site engineering and operational teams. Manage client relationships and ensure service delivery aligns with contractual obligations. Oversee site performance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide leadership to site-based teams, including Project Engineers, Foremen, Leading Hands, Shift Bosses, Safety & Training Advisors, and all trade/project personnel. Liaise with project maintenance team for the effective planning and utilisation of project plant and equipment. Monitor project progress and report on KPIs, financials, and risk management to group operations manager. Drive a strong safety-first culture and promote best-practice mining methods. Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and procedures, maintaining high operational standards. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) like Pronto and INX InControl to track tasks and project history. 8 days on, 6 days off roster. What you'll need: 10 years’ experience in underground mining operations, 2 years as project manager or senior leadership team member. Tertiary qualification in mining engineering (desirable). WA first class mine managers certificate (desirable). Strong IT skills for CMMS and scheduling tools. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Safety-first mindset. WA-based (essential).
