The Role: You will be a key contributor in designing, building, and maintaining our client's robust application suite using VB.NET , ADO.NET and C# within a Microsoft Azure environment. Working within a small, skilled team (fully remote), you will deliver new features, optimise system performance, and directly influence the technical evolution of their platform. Key Responsibilities: Enhance, maintain, and modernise our client's core enterprise platform. Design, develop, and test high-quality software components using VB.NET , ADO.NET and C#. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless internal and external data exchange, including with key accounting platforms like MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks (or similar). Configure, manage, and optimise Azure cloud resources (VMs, storage, networking). Design, query, and optimise SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity and performance. Conduct thorough unit testing and actively participate in peer code reviews. Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes. Create clear technical documentation for APIs, architecture, and user guidance. Collaborate effectively with product management and QA teams to deliver successful outcomes. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices. What You Bring: Strong professional software development experience with VB.NET, ADO.NET, C#, and SQL Server. Proven track record in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications. Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience deploying applications to Microsoft Azure. Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and using version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with meticulous attention to detail.
