Indigeco is supporting a major government organisation to recruit an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson (Grade 3) for works based out of Narrandera. This role focuses on mechanical maintenance and repair activities, supporting the ongoing operation of critical infrastructure and assets. Occasional work away from home may be required where operationally necessary. Contract dates: 2 February 2026 to 1 August 2026 Extension: Possible Hours: 7:00am to 4:00pm Roster: 9 day fortnight PPE: Supplied ABOUT THE COMPANY Indigeco is partnering with a large government organisation delivering essential maintenance and operational services across regional NSW. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Undertake mechanical maintenance, inspection and repair tasks Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in plant and equipment Complete routine servicing and preventative maintenance Operate safely in accordance with site procedures and WHS requirements Maintain accurate maintenance records Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors Support works across multiple sites when required YOUR REQUIREMENTS Trade qualification as a Mechanical Tradesperson (or equivalent) MAVRIC ticket (required) Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience Ability to work safely and follow procedures Willingness to occasionally work away from home if required Preferred but not essential: MR truck licence YOUR PERKS Competitive hourly rate of $50.17 plus super Stable 6 month contract with extension potential 9 day fortnight PPE supplied Opportunity to work on long-term government assets and infrastructure HOW TO APPLY If you are an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson looking for your next contract role, apply now.
