It provides high-level advice to senior leaders and managers on complex safety issues, legislative compliance, and continuous improvement opportunities. The Senior Safety Specialist supports the organisation to anticipate, identify and control workplace hazards by conducting strategic risk assessments, audits and assurance reviews. The role develops and delivers targeted training and capability-building programs to improve safety leadership and operational awareness. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Safety Specialist ensures that safety strategies are practical, evidence-based and embedded into everyday practices. The position plays a key role in shaping Parks Victoria's safety culture—building trust, capability and ownership at all levels of the organisation.
