The opportunity To help accelerate our growth we are looking for a Principal level Industrial Electrical Engineer, with experience in instrumentation and controls (EIC), to help lead and shape our electrical business, in Newcastle. Working on a wide variety of multidiscipline electrical engineering projects across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands - you’ll be part of a team of highly skilled professionals who will support you as you help shape our future growth as a team and act as a lead technical designer and verifier. The electrical team that you will support will consist of EIC, power and earthing, automation and telemetry specialists. This is a key role that will see you take responsibility for: Helping to shape the growth of our existing industrial business via our Newcastle Sydney, Melbourne offices, and across the wider region. Maintaining and developing strong relationships with our clients, industry partners and markets. Providing technical leadership in the EIC sector and with a sound understanding of HV. Leadership of a range of complex Water, Mining and Food & Beverage projects across Australia. Developing a culture of outstanding delivery within the team. Mentorship of junior and senior staff Business development activities from the early identification of opportunities through to their active pursuit, estimating and securing of projects with our clients and industry partners. A core understanding of contract implementation for projects Strategic development of the electrical sections business plan About you You will bring the passion and enthusiasm to help shape the growth of our EIC business, building relationships with both internal and external clients. This opportunity builds on your senior level experience in EIC projects in a consulting environment. You with be a Chartered Electrical engineer (or similar) Engineer (CPEng or equivalent) and a Registered Professional Engineer in either NSW, QLD or Victoria, with a solid career in consulting in the EIC design sector. This experience will include technical, delivery and client-facing activities. You will be familiar with Australian and local codes and technical standards applicable to the design development of electrical projects.
