Job Title: Boilermaker Fabricator Location: Pakenham We are seeking 3 x Casual Boilermaker Fabricators to join our growing team. You will be fabricating complex components from mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium in a modern, well-equipped workshop, delivering high-quality results for defence and industrial projects. Key Responsibilities Fabricate steel structures and pressure equipment using detailed engineering drawings and specifications Perform welding using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW techniques Prepare and finish welded surfaces using grinders, cutters, and related tools Set up welding equipment according to weld procedure requirements Ensure welding meets X-ray and NDT standards, including AS3992 and Lloyds Maintain welding tools and equipment through regular cleaning, repairs, and part replacements Accurately interpret technical drawings Collaborate with other trades and project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workshop What We’re Looking For Trade-qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator with structural and pressure equipment experience Hands-on experience with pipe spooling Advanced welding abilities: MIG, TIG, and FCAW Ability to meet stringent quality inspection requirements, including X-ray and NDT Familiarity with AS3992, Lloyds, and DNV welding codes Experience operating pressing and rolling machines for mild and stainless steel Excellent attention to detail and solution-oriented approach Strong team player with a safety-first mindset Why J oin Shadbolt Group?
