Location: Glenmore Park, NSW Position: Full-time Salary range per annum: $70,000-$80,000 Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: Oversee and prepare meals and ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards Collaborate with management on menu development capturing seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Develop creative recipes or refine existing ones to ensure quality, authenticity, and consistency. Monitor and manage the inventory levels of food supplies and kitchen equipment Manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, and scheduling, to maintain a smooth workflow. Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion sizes. Monitor kitchen operations and address any related issues promptly Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food handling regulations. The successful candidate must meet the following criteria of qualifications and experience: Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced restaurant. Minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or related field is preferred; however, substantial relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications Minimum 1 year of Australian work experience in a similar restaurant style cooking is mandatory Available to work on both weekdays and weekends Understanding of Australian food safety and HACCP Skills and Attributes: Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff. Culinary skills Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently Skilled in developing and refining recipes. Focus on food quality, consistency, and presentation. Expertise in HACCP and maintaining a sanitary kitchen. Strong skills in collaborating with staff and management. Be available to work on both weekdays and weekends Full work rights are required.
