Position Description Yarralumla Surgery is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our busy, well-established family medical practice on a casual basis. The role is for 3–4 sessions per week, with flexibility to provide additional cover during staff leave. About the Role You will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages, including: Immunisations and cold chain management Health assessments (45–49, 75) Chronic disease management and recalls Wound care and post-procedure checks ECGs, iron infusions, ear syringing and INRs Assisting with minor procedures (e.g. skin cancer excisions, Implanon insertions/removals) Treatment room duties, sterilisation, stock management and infection control Triage, documentation and use of electronic medical records Maintaining practice accreditation standards and emergency equipment checks About You This position is ideal for a motivated, compassionate nurse who enjoys working autonomously while contributing to a supportive multidisciplinary team. To be successful in this role, you will have: Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Minimum 4 years’ nursing experience Experience in general practice or primary care highly regarded but not essential Current CPR certificate and strong knowledge of immunisation schedules Proven experience in chronic disease management and health assessments Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills Proficiency with electronic medical record systems A high standard of professionalism, confidentiality and infection control Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Please email a copy of your resume, including two references a brief summary of your suitability for this position.
