About the role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Supervisor to join our busy store in South Hedland. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced retail environment, where you'll support daily store operations while leading and motivating a diverse team to deliver outstanding customer service. You'll work closely with the Store Manager/Owner, supervising a team of 5-15 staff depending on roster and seasonal demands. The role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic setting and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high standards on the shop floor. This is a full-time position (38 hours per week), operating on a rotating roster across Monday to Sunday, including weekends, public holidays, and early morning or evening shifts as required. The role is physically active and involves standing, walking, and some manual handling. Candidates must be living in or willing to relocate to South Hedland and be flexible, reliable, and committed to contributing positively to a collaborative, multicultural team culture. What you'll be doing : Oversee daily retail store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning. Supervise, train, motivate and support retail staff to maintain high service standards. Assist with staff rostering, performance management and attendance monitoring. Maintain stock levels, coordinate inventory checks and manage stock ordering. Ensure merchandising, product presentation and promotional displays are maintained according to company standards. Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally. Manage cash handling, daily reconciliations and store opening/closing procedures. Monitor compliance with workplace health and safety procedures. Support management in achieving sales targets, KPIs and operational goals. Prepare daily/weekly reports and assist with administrative duties as required. What we're looking for : Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a retail supervisory or team-leader role. Strong knowledge of retail operations, stock control, merchandising and customer service. Ability to train, supervise and motivate staff in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills. Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage KPIs. Competency in cash handling, tills and POS reconciliation. Ability to work independently and make operational decisions when required. Certificate III/IV in Retail, Business, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
