Namoo Korean Restaurant is a Korean restaurant located at Perth WA 6000, specialising in authentic Korean cuisine. We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced Chef and Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. Position 1: Chef Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of Korean dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s menu and quality standards. Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and food quality. Assist with menu planning, including seasonal menu items, while maintaining cost control. Ensure food preparation and cooking techniques reflect authentic Korean culinary practices. Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation. Manage stock control, including inventory management, stock rotation, and minimisation of food wastage. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations. Train and supervise cooks and kitchen assistants to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Position 2: Cook Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook Korean dishes in accordance with established recipes, portion control, and presentation standards. Handle and prepare ingredients including meats, seafood, vegetables, and sauces following Korean cuisine requirements. Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and handled in compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment at all times. Assist with daily food preparation and service to support efficient kitchen operations. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality and safety. Assist with stock control, including inventory checks, stock rotation, and minimising food wastage. Follow directions from the Chef and work cooperatively with other kitchen staff during service periods. Assist with training junior kitchen staff in basic food preparation and hygiene procedures when required.
