The Company We're currently partnering with a global leader in speciality ingredients and chemical distribution, to recruit a Customer Service Officer for a 2-month full-time contract based in Cheltenham with the view to extension. The Role As the key link between warehouse operations, transport providers, and customers , you will play a critical role in ensuring orders are processed accurately, delivered on time, and communicated clearly. You'll work closely with Shipping, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams while gaining hands-on exposure to warehouse operations, port operations, and domestic transport. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer outcomes. Key Responsibilities Accurately process customer orders, ensuring timely delivery and invoicing Liaise closely with warehouse and Shipping teams to manage end-mile delivery Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and 3PL, warehousing, and transport partners Proactively communicate order status updates to customers and Commercial teams, particularly when delays occur Ensure internal controls are followed and all shipped orders are invoiced, particularly prior to month-end Your Profile Previous experience in customer service, logistics, supply chain, or order management Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset Comfortable working across multiple systems and managing competing priorities Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
