THE ROLE Based at our Auburn office, the purpose of the Internal Sales Support role is to ensure all customers receive a professional experience each time. This is a fast paced role, liaising with our commercial customers by responding to inquiries, taking orders and apply their expert knowledge in delivering practical and creative lighting plans and solutions to our volume residential building clients. Key Responsibilities: Reading and understanding architectural and electrical plans Creating lighting design plans that reflect the customer’s needs and design concepts Selecting and specifying product and placement solutions that fit the customer brief whilst providing a professional, knowledgeable, and efficient service Provide assistance in the preparation of quotations, purchase orders and invoicing Ensure all quotations are completed accurately and appropriately to meet both the customer needs and business expectations To assist in selecting merchandise appropriate to the customers’ needs by providing a professional service that is knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and efficient Develop additional sales for the department through passing on sales leads to Sales Representatives or taking the initiative to contact prospects Pick and pack product for dispatch - monitor, cross-check and verify all customer deliveries Check all incoming goods, and process according to company standards Entering all goods that come into the stockroom into the system ABOUT YOU This role is vital for supporting our sales team and ensuring that our clients receive the best of service. You will therefore possess the following skills and attributes: A proven track record in the Lighting/Electrical industry preferred but not essential Experience or knowledge in interior/lighting design and the ability to read and interpret house plans Demonstrated delivery of impeccable customer service Previous internal sales experience and enjoy working within a team environment Excellent organisational skills and confidence in working with a computer General knowledge of both warehousing and logistics processes Enjoy working within a team environment with great interpersonal skills A positive “can – do” and enthusiastic approach to your job Some heavy lifting may be required ABOUT BEACON LIGHTING COMMERCIAL Part of the Beacon Lighting Group, the Commercial Sales Division provides an exclusive lighting design and consultancy service to the large volume residential building market in Australia.
