About the Role The Salvation Army’s Palmerston Family Violence Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to provide operational leadership across our family violence accommodation and support programs. In this role, you will guide and support a dedicated team delivering specialist case management, outreach and after‑hours responses for women and children experiencing or escaping family violence. You’ll ensure services are trauma‑informed, child‑focused and grounded in best practice, while fostering a culture of safety, collaboration and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Regional Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day service delivery, support staff capability and wellbeing, maintain strong community and sector partnerships, and contribute to high‑quality outcomes for victim‑survivors. This is a permanent full‑time position based in Darwin. Pay is in accordance with SCHADS Level 7. How You Will Make an Impact Lead and support a team of case workers and support workers to deliver high‑quality, trauma‑informed family violence services Oversee daily operations, ensuring services meet internal standards, legislative requirements and funding obligations Provide reflective supervision, coaching and guidance to build team capability and resilience Support intake, assessment and case management processes, including holding a small caseload where required Monitor service performance, quality, risk and compliance, escalating issues appropriately Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, community partners and sector networks Contribute to program development, service improvements and implementation of practice frameworks Ensure accurate client records, reporting and data integrity Promote a safe, inclusive and culturally responsive service environment What You Will Bring Degree qualification in Social Work or a related field Demonstrated experience in the family violence sector, including case management and residential or outreach services Experience leading or supervising staff in a community services environment Strong understanding of trauma‑informed practice, risk assessment and safety planning Highly effective communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills Experience managing budgets, resources and service performance Ability to work collaboratively, think critically and respond effectively in complex situations Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems NT Driver’s Licence What We Offer Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax‑free, plus an additional $2,650 meal and entertainment benefit Generous Paid Parental Leave for primary (12 weeks) and secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks), and 5 days paid leave per year to experience other TSA programs Flexible working arrangements Access to the Employee Assistance Program and health & wellness initiatives, including Fitness Passport Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander supports such as the Burra Burra Network, Cultural Events, Sorry Business and Ceremonial Leave (up to 10 days) Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on‑the‑job skills and professional growth Rewarding and purpose‑driven careers that create positive and sustainable social impact How to Apply If you are a values‑driven leader with a passion for supporting women and children impacted by family violence, we would love to hear from you.
