We are excited to be supporting an exciting major project in rural South Australia, and so we have an opportunity for a Senior Occupational Hygiene and Hazmat Consultant , holding an Asbestos Assessor Licence , to join our supportive team as we deliver meaningful work in South Australia. This opportunity offers a unique working arrangement alongside valuable benefits including per diem allowances, transport, accommodation, meals and further training and upskilling. This a permanent full-time role based primarily in our Adelaide office and follows a swing-style working arrangement for your initial 12 months of employment. You will spend two weeks on site at Maralinga, SA working full days onsite, followed up to four weeks in Adelaide, where your time will be spend on a combination of Time Off In Lieu for additional hours worked, assisting the Practice Leader in developing a SA client base and delivering ad-hoc works in the SA market. Job Tasks and Responsibilities Working alongside industry leaders in Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials, you will ideally have an interest and enthusiastic approach to working within the hazardous materials sector. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to Identification & Conducting Asbestos/HAZMAT Surveys Asbestos fibre monitoring & fibre counting Providing technical advice on Hazmat and occupational health issues Supervision of Asbestos/HAZMAT removal Client liaison, quotes, tenders and Project Management Preparation of Technical Reports and deliver projects to budget and in a timely manner Confidence in your ability with a positive attitude to engage team and wider office Receive support in diversifying experience and skillset as an Occupational Hygienist Skills and Experience Licensed Asbestos Assessor (LAA) is essential or relevant experience which enables you to gain LAA within a brief timeframe Experience within the HAZMAT industry coupled with relevant qualifications Strong consulting background with excellent writing ability HAZMAT survey experience along with a valid driver's licence An understanding of reporting requirements and Project Management Excellent verbal and written communication skills Full working rights in Australia or an Australian Citizenship You will have keen interest in Occupational Hygiene & Hazardous Materials and be driven to continue ongoing learning and development. Willingness to work onsite in remote areas, and travel back to Adelaide regularly.
