The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Retail Internal Sales Lead guides and elevates the internal sales capability of the internal retail sales team. You will lead by example on the floor, to coach and supervise the team, elevating their skills to ensure customer relationships are built, new business opportunities are identified, and customer data is captured and followed up. Reporting to, and supported by the Operations Manager, this people focused role will see you use your retail sales experience, personable, curious and optimistic attitude to model sales language and behaviors that ensure interactions go beyond the transactional, naturally identifying new business opportunities. Paired with your experience supervising or training retail colleagues or teams, you will take a lead role in the supervision and development of the retail internal sales team at the Wendouree store location. Key Responsibilities With support, coach and build sales confidence and aptitude in the retail internal sales team Identify, record and progress opportunities in Erply and ensure quality referrals Provide customer insights to support range, stock and promotional decisions With support, lead, roster train, and motivate the retail internal sales team Attend weekly WIP meetings with Operations Manager to support your own leadership development Lead day‑to‑day retail internal sales operations, including service, presentation and opening/closing duties What You’ll Bring Demonstrated experience training others to undertake sales interactions that naturally establishes customer relationships Retail, sales or other relevant similar customer facing experience is required, however formal management experience is not Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to lead, supervise and motivate teams to reach retail internal sales performance standards of behavior Optimistic, self-driven and proactive approach with exceptional attention to detail Industry knowledge would be advantageous Must be available to work full-time, in store, Mon-Friday between 8:00am and 5:30pm and Saturday between 9:00am and 2:00pm Why Join Hip Pocket Workwear & Safety?
